- Check with the locals. It’s a good idea to ask people who know the area. If they are local they may know of more shops and possibly less mainstream, yet still trendy places.
- Check online. The Internet is used for everything from prepaid card purchases to blogging about hip hangouts. Facebook is a great place to start for local events and shopping deals!
- Look in local papers/magazines. Many companies advertize in local papers. Local magazines are more likely to have cute boutique shops and hip hang out spots for those who are looking for a more intimate shopping scene. Mainstream city papers will have coupons for large department stores and maybe even outlet mall shopping deals.
Regardless of where you like to shop there are many ways to find what you are looking for. If worse comes to worst and you can’t find any information, you can always explore and simply happen upon a store or mall that might suit your needs perfectly. Not to mention, simply wandering in the place where you are can be a great way to meet new friends who might also like to shop!
